Back So Soon
It didn’t take long before we found ourselves back on this coastline. After the first trip, we knew we’d be returning, the place had left too strong an impression.
The swell had a different character this time. Plenty of small, playful days that were perfect for surfing together. Party waves, shared rides, and nothing taken too seriously. We still scored a few sessions at the dream wave from last time, just enough to remind us why we’d been so eager to come back. One of the sunset surfs stands out most. The sun sank into the horizon in a huge orange blur, the waves so glassy they almost disappeared beneath us. We laughed the whole time, simply from how unreal it all felt.
The crew made it special. Long dinners, beach walks, and time spent chatting in the tide pools stitched the trip together. The jungle felt alive as ever, with monkeys moving through the trees and wild deer surprising us as we meandered through jungle tracks.
We also had the chance to put some new boards through their paces. A few fresh Club Sodas and Ponys made the journey with us, and they suited the waves perfectly. The Pony in particular was a favorite - a couple of the girls said it felt easy, forgiving, and gave them confidence to push their surfing further.
Another trip that will stick with us, and no doubt not the last time we’ll find ourselves back here.
